KANSAS CITY, MO (June 12, 2025) — Super Bowl champion and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is pleased to announce the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Scholarship Program to support outstanding students in Kansas City, Tyler County (TX), and Lubbock County (TX).

In collaboration with Bold.org, the leading scholarship and student finance platform, the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Scholarship Program will support three new scholarships: the Kansas City Area Scholarship, Tyler County Scholarship, and Lubbock County Scholarship. Each scholarship will award $10,000 to five exceptional high school seniors within each community, recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement, for a total of $150,000 in awards to the Class of 2025.

“Giving back to the communities that have shaped me has always been incredibly important,” said Mahomes. “Through the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, we want to support the next generation of leaders and difference-makers. These scholarships are about lifting students up and showing them that their dreams are within reach.”

Impact On Kansas City, Tyler Area, and Lubbock Area

The scholarship program reflects Mahomes’ connection to these three communities:

  1. Kansas City Area Scholarship: Supporting students from the greater Kansas City area who have demonstrated resilience, leadership, and dedication to their communities.
  2. Tyler County Scholarship: Giving back to Mahomes’ hometown roots by supporting high-achieving students in the Tyler, Texas area.
  3. Lubbock County Scholarship: Honoring Mahomes’ collegiate journey by providing financial assistance to students in Lubbock County, Texas, home of his alma mater, Texas Tech University.

Mahomes, widely recognized for both his athletic achievements and his commitment to community impact, founded the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation in 2019 with the mission of improving the lives of children and young adults. With these scholarships, Mahomes continues to invest in students’ futures, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of opportunity. “This scholarship is about honoring Patrick’s journey and empowering students across these three communities with the tools to chase their dreams,” said Tori Meglio, VP of Donors at Bold.org. “We’re proud to partner with Patrick and his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation to support young leaders as they continue their educational and personal growth.”
